Mezquita de Cordoba history is typical for this region of Spain, Andalusia, – many centuries ago the ancient Roman temple located in this place, after – the Visigoths church and in 785 the great mosque – Mezquita appeared in here. It became the second in significance mosque in the whole world, and the hegira to Cordoba has equated to the hajj to Mecca, canonical for every Muslim.

And after that the Christian church was constructed or, to be more exact, built-in right inside the mosque.

Of course Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba became on of “must see” points of our to-go list. Córdoba had even been emphasized over Sevilla per overnight stays. Arguments? The greater amount of sightseeing.

History of One Picture: Neuschwanstein Castle

You may have seen this photo of the Neuschwanstein castle in Bavaria million times. The overview of the castle which opens from the Marienbrucke – a bridge over an 80-meters gorge with a waterfall – is captured by thousands of photos, posters, puzzles, mugs, mouse pads and so on.

We always see the results of a photographer’s work, but sometimes the history of taking a photo is even more interesting than the photo itself.

One Day in Gray City of Mozart, Salzburg

Having assessed all the advantages of the Bad Hofgastein ski resort, yet we decided to fulfil our trip to Austria with a portion of historicism. The nearest and the most wanted candidate to be seen over was Salzburg – a city that gave Mozart to our world.

In this country the roads are perfect even in winter. In a way to the most musical city of Austria we noticed a massive castle at one of the mountain tops. Hmm, looks like the schedule for today is tightening, we ought to visit it on our way back!
